How can i save the chai latte?

I got a bag of the plenny shake active chai latte a few months ago and damn(!) was I disappointed!
What a taste. Has almost nothing to do with a proper chai latte… maybe except for the cinnamon in there.
Ordered a bag for my friend as well with mine, he has the same reaction to it.

I don’t want it to go to waste, but I really don’t like it “straight”.
Do you have any ideas what i can mix it with to save the flavour? Or use it in other stuff?

I’m in the same situation, my chai latte powder came two days ago and I didn’t like it the first day just mixed with water. Yesterday I mixed it with ice milk, and today with coffee powder (50/50). Nothing worked, it even masked the coffee flavour. I’ll try more combinations because, as you, I don’t want to waste it.

I don’t know if it could be used in baking in any way. I would prefer it in a shake.
It’s really bad

I, on the other hand, like the chai latte favour. To me it tastes like chai latte, maybe you have been exposed to better chai lattes than I have. It’s not one I would have often as a meal though as it is too sweet for that, but I’ll happily drink it now and then as a dessert course when I’m having 2 shakes for lunch.

So to answer your question, I don’t l know… dare I suggest adding some instant chai latte powder from the supermarket? or will that just add to the evidence against me that I don’t really know what a proper chai latte should taste like?

Hahah oh Dave.
I volunteer as a part time barista where I have tasted quite a few different chai lattes so I would like to say I know my chai lattes by now  And sadly this is in the very low spectrum.
At first I was honestly in doubt if I got a faulty batch.

Since it has the caffeine I thought of it more as a morning shake, but can of course be used through the day!
I actually haven’t thought about something so simple. I didn’t know if it could overpower the flavour, but I’ll give it a try

I quite it as well! I usually use some vegan milk and add some extra cinnamon (sometimes even some honey) and then I have a super sweet kickstart or afternoon pick me up. If you really can’t stomach it though, please email us at love@jimmyjoy.com so we can reimburse you for the bag!

Well, it’s weird but I found a way to make the shake tastier. I mixed the water with liquid yoghourt. Of course it totally unbalaces the nutritional values and calories, so you must recalculate it, but the point is that now I kinda like drinking it. Not an ideal solution and of course I removed the chai latte from my suscriptions, but it’s the best way I found to make it tasty and avoid wasting the powder.

Please excuse my poor English.

thanks for sharing your solution David! Glad you found something that works for you

I was not a fan of how the Chai latte tasted either, texture was fine tho.
Not happy with the Chocolate shake as well.
But mixing them 50/50 made a huge difference.
My new favorite shake., it has a nice texture and a taste that suits me.
Give it a try.
