Payment by employer benefits (Edenred, Sodexo, Benefity Plus, ...)

Hi,
would it be possible to arrange payment by employer benefits (e.g. Edenred - https://www.edenred.com)?
Edenred benefits can be used to buy other food supplements (so it shouldn’t be a problem to arrange). I wouldn’t mind paying more when using benefits (to account for any fee that Edenred would ask of you). And I know for a fact that a lot of people would welcome such an option because employer benefits can only be used for a narrow range of services/goods and it’s sometimes really hard to use them up.
Thank you.
Have a beautiful day

Hi @vit.mojzis! Thanks for the suggestion, but I have to admit I’m not familiar with the concept. Can you maybe tell me how this would for (for us)?

Looking forward to your answer✌🏼

For clarification: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meal_voucher

I’d also like to use my Ticket Restaurant card. But I can’t provide any info about the application process of a new merchant.

So there are actually 2 different forms of employee benefits this could work with, depending on what Jimmy joy is marketed as (Food or food supplement).

The links I included will probably lead you to web pages in Czech, please switch language in the upper right corner

  1. There are meal tickets (employee catering) which are intended for only buying food (both in restaurants and supermarkets). It’s often possible for employees to get the meal tickets either in form of paper tickets (probably not ideal for you), or in form of a special credit card (for edenred it’s “Ticket Restaurant Card” - have a look here to see how it works for affiliates https://www.edenred.cz/content/partner/vse-o-nasich-produktech/stravenky/ticket-restaurant-karta)

  2. “normal” Employee benefits intended for holiday, wellness, sport, and medical expenses (these include food supplements). Usually available in the form of vouchers (paper or electronic), special credit card (for edenred it’s “Edenred Benefits Card”) and “online cafeteria payment”. Here you might be interested in electronic vouchers (https://www-test.edenred.cz/content/klient/vse-o-nasich-produktech/zamestnanecke-benefity/eticket they are equivalent to Ticket Multi which can be used for medical expenses including food supplements https://www.edenred.cz/content/partner/vse-o-nasich-produktech/zamestnanecke-benefity/ticket-medica), Edenred Benefits Card - https://www.edenred.cz/content/partner/vse-o-nasich-produktech/zamestnanecke-benefity/ticket-benefis-card) and online cafeteria payment.

As far as I understand it, you can accept all of the above using Edenred’s online interface. You would direcly enter e-tickets in your edenred account and for card/cafeteria payments your customers would be redirected to Edenred payment portal where they can either log in to cafeteria and confirm payment, or enter their card information.

There is a fee for using edenred payment methods, but you could take these into account and charge more when some of these payment options is selected (i certainly wouldn’t mind since it’s otherwise really hard to use these benefits up)

Not to sound like a d*ck, but this seems like a lot of trouble for us to go through! Do you know any other international commercial companies who use these payment methods?

You’d just make an agreement with edenred and add a payment option to your e-shop (customer would be redirected to Edenred site). That doesn’t seem so bad.

I don’t. I’ve only been receiving Edenred benefits for a short time. There are several Czech e-shops that allow several payment methods (all major employee benefit provides) - e.g. lekarna.cz or Dr. Max

Sorry for taking your time. I was just trying to suggest mutually beneficial update.
