25% off coupon not calculating properly?

With the rework of the new US website, Jimmy Joy sent out a 25% off coupon via email: USA72H

Problem is, when checking out, the code only applies a 10% discount to my order. Considering the fact that I’m setting up a subscription and that subscriptions take 15% off compared to one-time orders, is this calculation intentional?

I just assumed that 25% off meant an additional 25% off, considering the email says the discount is “On both the one-time off and subscription orders.” If the behavior’s intentional, it’d be nice if future promotions were given more detail so the actual deal being offered is perfectly clear.

Yes and since it is applying 15% off for subscribing and then 10% off the discounted amount it’s actually less of a discount than a flat 25%. Meaning it’s slightly cheaper not to subscribe (by 1.5%) . I don’t think this was intentional.

That’s a really good point. I totally missed that.
