Hi!
Long time use of your product here. I would like to switch Plenny Shake Active as main source of food (~90%).
I usually consume 350 - 400 grams of product.
Does it mean I need cover some micronutrients with supplements?
Hi!
One question regarding the Almond & Fig bars; on the nutritional label I’m missing the addition of sucralose, though on the website it’s stated that sucralose was an addition in all the bars. Is Almond & Fig an exception? I’m trying to get off of artificial sweeteners and sucralose in particular. Thanks a ton!
When will the Lemon Pie Shake be back stock? Missing it!
Is everything ok? The US store is looking a bit low on stock, especially the Athletic line! I rely on that as a primary part of my diet as a diabetic with a milk allergy, so hope restocks are soon!
Hi JJ Team,
Any updates regarding your packaging? I understand this is probably a difficult task, but I wanted to check in and see how things are going.
In any case, you should probably update your copy regarding plans to switch to biodegradable packaging in 2022, as that is now a fair bit ago!
What’s the catch with the Lemon Pie Bar? It’s so good that it can’t be healthy!
Are there any major differences to Vanilla Bars besides the 0,5 % of lemon? Lemon Pie bar felt very soft. Is it supposed to be softer than Vanilla?
@abacusenthusiast thanks for pointing this out, good catch! There were some changes along the way, so we couldn’t move forward with biodegradable packaging as planned. We’ll update the article asap.
But we have good news! We are finally switching from Type 7 to Type 4 recyclable plastic, which is way easier to recycle. While biodegradable packaging sounded awesome, after more research we realised it’s not always bette.r. It usually needs special conditions to break down (like industrial composting) and if it ends up in regular landfills, it can even release methane. So we decided that going for a more recyclable pouch was the way to go, making it a better choice for sustainability.
@Dia no catch here! Just tons of research, trials, and tastings that went into creating this amazing flavour, which is quickly becoming a favourite! The base of our bars is pretty much the same for all flavours, except for Almond & Fig. So yep, the main difference between the Lemon Pie and Vanilla bars is the lemon powder and lemon flavouring. That said, there are slight variations in ingredient concentrations that can sometimes affect the final texture or hardness of the bar.
@Qurl Sorry for the late reply! You’re right, our Almond & Fig bar is the only one without sucralose. The sweetness from the figs does all the work!
@saintserge if you’re using 400g of Plenny Shake Active, you’re already getting at least 80% of your recommended intake (RI) for micronutrients! For the ones that are below 25% per portion, you can easily top up by including other foods in your diet. The amount needed to hit 100% is so small that a supplement might actually give you way more than necessary.
You can check our website or this table for the micronutrients below 25% and find those in foods like nuts, greens, or fortified snacks.
It would be great if you were able to make the Vanilla Bar says soft for longer.
Hi, I recently tried the Plenny Pots and had a really negative first pot, after scooping from the top without realizing I was supposed to shake them well first, and be sure to scoop noodles/rice/etc AND the powder that was at the bottom (I didn’t see it). Have you considered splitting the content in 2 bags, one with the only hard/large parts and one with the powder? Correctly shaking and scooping such large bags results in a mess, lots of powder on my hand and arm, and around the bag, and an inconsistent experience.
On the positive side, after shaking them well — or really, rotating them upside down a few times, and paying attention to the scooping, the flavors have been pretty good
Hey @Samsam! welcome to our forum
We are glad you figured out that flipping the pouch a couple of times is the way to go! We used to offer single portions in pots, but most customers preferred the same format as our shakes: several servings per pouch. We know the mix won’t be perfectly even every time, but with a good shake, it gets close enough.
At the moment, producing two different pouches to separate the powder from the larger particles isn’t an option due to factory limitations and keeping the price stable. We’ve considered bringing back single portions, but this would mean more plastic waste and a higher price. So, after weighing all the options, the current format is the best balance. But please know we always take feedback seriously and are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience!
