Concerned about usage of synthetic Vitamin E in Jimmy Joy

Hi,

I’m concerned about the usage of synthetic (petroleum-based) Vitamin E in Jimmy Joy, listed as:

DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate

Are there any plans to replace this with a natural version of Vitamin E? Such as:

D-alpha tocopherol acetate

Citing one of your competitors that’s also using the natural version above:

D-alpha-tocopherol acetate is the most bioavailable form of alpha-tocopherol, meaning it’s better absorbed and utilised than other forms

Thanks

Hi @spin ! welcome to the forum!

We totally get that you might have some worries about dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate due to it being synthetic. Please, know that it is completely safe to consume it. As you mentioned, it’s true that this form is slightly less bioavailable, but we add it in a concentration that provides exactly what’s stated on the label.
We’re actively researching and exploring the best natural alternative to dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate that suits our meals, so rest assured that we’re on it! :green_heart:
