Question about Jimmy Joy's recall process

I’m pretty concerned about food safety and wanted to ask about Jimmy Joy’s process in the event that any of your products need to be recalled for health or safety reasons.

I keep an eye on my country’s recall list, but since Jimmy Joy products are sold online and originally from another country, I’m not sure how they would be handled in that case.

So my question is: How would customers be notified if there’s a recall? And what steps are you taking to ensure your products are safe to consume?

It’s been years and probably a name change ago since I last found anything weird in my shake like cardboard or something, and there haven’t been as many taste changes in the past few years, so I’m fairly confident in their current procedures to keep things clean.

But it’s always been notifications from me to them, never the other way around. As in: hey, this batch seems bad. Customer support has been nice in letting me know if a specific batch was still in operation, but I doubt they have a pipeline for screening and notifying customers,.

First, we follow the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), which is a globally recognized standard for food safety. This means we’re proactive about identifying and addressing any potential risks throughout our process, from sourcing ingredients to final packaging.

On top of that, we perform recall and traceability tests twice a year to ensure we can act quickly if needed. These tests allow us to:

  • Trace backward: Identify the origin of every ingredient used (supplier-to-product).
  • Trace forward: Track exactly where each product has been shipped or sold (product-to-consumer).

We’re required to complete this entire traceability process within 4 hours. If there were ever an issue with a specific batch, we’d notify customers directly through the contact info linked to their accounts (email, etc.).

We’ve worked over the years to keep our quality high and consistent! We have never had a recall, but our team is always ready to respond quickly if something comes up.
